YALI RLC ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Samirah Bello
Samirah is an avid volunteer with over 7 years of experience in community development and has executed numerous projects focused on education, child right and protection, domestic and sexual violence, youth and women empowerment, and governance.
She is presently the Product Lead at Thrive Agric, a startup that improves the agricultural sector in Nigeria by providing finance for smallholder farmers and in-turn infusing both digital technology (micro-loan platforms) and farming technologies (machinery, soil test, and precision farming systems) into agriculture.
She is a 2016 recipient of the NYSC Lagos State Government certificate award for her contributions towards the state, a 2016 YALI RLC West Africa Fellow, and a recently 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow.
Her long-term goal is to impact positively in the lives of thousands of people, she also aspires to see a well-developed peaceful Nigeria and Africa where the innovative business is its unique selling point.
