Power To Reinvent Yourself — John Obidi
This virtual masterclass took place on 12th of February . It focused on helping participants reinvent themselves in 2022. The event was facilitated by John Obidi, a Dubai-based award-winning Nigerian transformational coach, New Media Consultant, International Speaker, and Personal Development Trainer . The event was open to both alumni and non-alumni (people in the YALI Network and those who follow the activities of the YALI RLC Nigeria Alumni).
80 attendees attended the masterclass.
Feedbacks from participants at the learning session which lasted over two hours showed that it was remarkably timely.

John Obidi gave an entirely new meaning to SWOT Analysis:
Strengths; Identify and amplify them, accept compliments, they’re not necessarily to be seen as pride. Avoid self-depreciation.
Weakness: These are things, specific people in your circle might say about you and you would need to work on.
Opportunities; These lie all around you, identify them and find a good leverage.
Threats; might just be the little things, culture shocks and weather conditions in a new place

In as much as you want to add more to your life, there are things that should also be removed.
Reinventing yourself might need you to physically move to a new location, develop the seed inside of you, and develop yourself.
Pick specific teachers that would build and direct you in the path you want to pursue.
Learn to speak, write and communicate your ideas effectively. You won’t be rewarded for the quality of your thoughts, but the quality of your expressed thoughts.
Learn to meditate, breathe properly and take care of your mental health.
Learn how you learn, tackle information overload by identifying your best form of learning. It could either be audio books, paperbacks, videos etc
Ally yourself with stronger forces, mentors and persons that identify with the new identity you want to be transplanted to; places and people, whom your aspiration is their normal.
