Itunu OYEBANJI

Itunu is a Cohort 10 Alumna and has over 14 years of experience in advocacy, working with Children, leadership and organizing events. She is the Chief Servant at Boigedacha Literary Initiative: a non- governmental organization committed to building libraries and revitalizing reading culture.

Boigedacha Literary Initiative (BLI) is a Non-Governmental Organisation founded in 2010 and incorporated in Nigeria. BLI is poised to contribute immensely to the advancement of education in Nigeria local communities through various literacy programmes and projects.

BLI focuses on education-based programmes to empower pupils, students, school leavers, physically unique children and especially the girl-child through literacy programs, skill acquisition, mentoring community projects and book reading clubs.

Itunu is a member of the Reading Association of Nigeria and Association of Nigeria Authors and a member of the Junior Chambers International (JCI). She has won a number of awards at NYSC for community development and Young Africa Leadership Initiative Award. Her passion for Literacy is second to none which motivates our annual program for Schools.

She is also a member of Non- Governmental Association for Literacy support in Delta state. She believes in the SDGs and promoting it with all passion through her literacy programs. Her NGO will be ten years in 2020. She is happily married to Pastor David Oyebanji.
